WP8 Dissemination and outreach

Objectives

• To design and implement communication strategies for awareness raising and engaging stakeholders in open biodiversity data publishing and extending data dissemination
• To facilitate communication, project management, and dissemination through the project website and information portal
• To produce and widely distribute EU BON outreach materials
• To promote open access and wide dissemination of biodiversity data
• To facilitate data publishing and re-use through development of new strategies and new online tools

• Open-access data publishing and dissemination of data sets is the future for biodiversity publishing
• Data publications are an important incentive for authors to publish, share and increase usability and citability of their data
• Complex biodiversity data presented through user-friendly innovative decision-support tools and web portals can greatly facilitate decision and policy makers
